The number of international tourists in Bali grew by 3.6% in 2019 to 6.3 million, up from 6 million in 2018 according to Statista reports. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has had an adverse effect on tourism in Bali, leading to a decline of around 83 percent in tourist arrivals in the first half of 2020 alone. Despite the pandemic continuing unabated, the tourism sector in Bali has been gradually picking up.
